Fun Easter weekend

This past weekend was Easter! Can you believe it! 

Jack woke up to a batman filled Easter basket. Memphis woke up to all things teething basket! Lol!! 

Chris had to work so he set up an Easter egg hunt through the apartment for Jack. He got lots of new superhero underwear! (Potty training is a mother fucker)

This was the first year I didn't attend church on Easter!! But I read bible stories to Jack and Memphis to ensure we really remember the reason for Easter. How great is our God! He is risen. Jesus lives.

After Chris got off we headed to the drive on with our superhero. 

My "mom" kept Memphis overnight for us for the first time. She had a blast playing with her cousins. My nieces are smitten with her. To them she is a real life babydoll. I always feel physical pain without my babies. I'm flawed in that way I guess lol. It's just not enjoyable for me to be away from them. 

Anyways, we got a chance to see the new batman vs superman movie. Jack didn't really watch much of it which is what we expected.but we had so much fun anyways. He asked to go back the next night. He fell asleep before the second movie which was deadpool thank god lol. It was soooooo funny. Both movies where pretty good.

I was recently tagged in another bloggers post to list a few pictures each week for a month of my favorite things so we all can get to know each other more. I've always put a lot out there on my blog but I'll take a stab at it anyways.

Can you believe tomorrow is Easter? We are already floating through this year as well. I haven't got Memphis anything for her Easter basket because I literally thought I had more time lol. Jack got lots of batman goodies because we plan to take him to see the new batman movie tommorow night. On holidays since they both are so young I try to only get them things that they need. Like for Christmas Memphis looked like she got a ton of stuff but it was all stuff she needed. We are also huge consignors and bargain shoppers. Jack and memphis both got a ton for Christmas but we didn't spend over 100 dollars. My friends will take a day off just to go shopping with me so I can show them how to hunt for a bargin.

Jack will get a lot of stuff in his Easter basket but I haven't spent over 20.00 bucks. I'll touch on bargin shopping on the next month or two :) okay okay in to my favorites 

My babies!!! Oh come on like you didn't see that coming ha! 

Being married to one very hot,sexy,sweet,funny man! Not to mention he is such a great father!!! 

Shoesssssss!!!!!!! Seriously! When my grandmother use to take me out shopping I would pick shoes over toys! It's always been love!

Reba! I could watch Reba all day everyday. We watch it so much that Jack loves the show now.

Tulips! I love the colors and the smell!

Summertime! I love the sounds and the smell of summer. When your skin has that sting from summertime hitting your shoulders! Baseball games and drive in movies. Days out on the lake or the pool. Cookout with friends. Everything! Everything about summer is amazing to me.

Music!!!!!!!!!!! I don't just put music on for background noise. I listen to every lyric. Every word. Every bridge every beat.  We always have music playing in our home. More than tv. My kids are very big on music because that's all they hear. 

Anything retro! Ask any of my friends or family and they will tell you I was born in the wrong era! I have a very old soul. When my birthday rolls around every year someone gets me a card that has something about being an old soul in it. The music, the way of living everything from back then can be found in my daily life now. Oh how I wish we could go back.

My kitchenaid mixer because I literally am baking or cooking something. We don't go out to eat much at all. I would rather cook or bake at home!

Long drives!!!!!!!!!!!! People have always ask how me and Chris know each other inside and out and I swear it's because of all the drives we use to take. Talking and laughing and really truly getting to know each other. We still like to take the long way around!!!!!!!
