I usually follow this contouring because it works for me and it's simple. I tried a bunch off Pinterest (yes insert judgement here) and this is the only one I felt wasn't over doing it and could be worn daily. Hey what works for some May not work for everyone this is what works for me.
I haven't been doing my makeup much because I have been staying home with my sweet boy. But when I do this is my beauty go to.
*First I primer my face!
I have very oily skin so I have learned to primer before so my face doesn't look like an oil slick by noon.
Target
I love that a) it's cheap like 5.00 at target b) it WORKS and c) it's last for forever seriously I have had this stuff for months!
*2nd- foundation!
I didn't have to use any back in the day because I had flawless skin. But years in the tanning bed have done my face no justice (I seriously could kick my 16 year olds ass for doing that to my precious face). So I have horrible sun spots that now, need to be covered!
I use maybelline dream fresh bb in medium/dark tint. Bought at target
I'm not gonna say it's my FAVORITE! So as soon as this is gone I'll probably go on a search for a better one. But it works for right now seeing as I'm not doing my makeup everyday because I'm not going out much right now.
*3rd- I do my eyebrows.
I love big thick dark eyebrows!!! I don't care if you can tell there are fake lol (not really) but I love thick brows. Leave the tiny brows to the cholas!! Think Megan fox eyebrows.
She is stunning and look at those brows!! This is always my go to when styling mine.
To achieve that Megan fox brow look in so obsessed with. I use urban decay eyebrow kit. I love this better than using a pencil to draw them in. Bought at sephora
I line my brows with the lighter color and then fill them in with the dark. Works like a charm. And stays allllll day and most importantly doesn't smudge or smear!!!!
*4th- I do my highlighting
Like I said what works for some might not work for everyone but highlighting first helps me contour with the bronzed better.
I love benefits watts up. It's creamy and in the end is a beautiful color. Bought at sephora
I start with my t-zone then the apples of my cheeks and work my way from there.
*5th-bronzer baby!!!
I usually start with my nose and the go from there. When I get to my cheeks I usually make a 3 motion starting from my temple down to my chin. But when I get to my jaw bone I make a fishy face and make my bronzer line thicker in that area.
I use benefit bronzer in hula. I feel like it gives you a more natural color opposed to the more orange color some bronzers can leave you with. Bought at sephora.
*6th- I do my eyes
I'm overly obsessed with the urban decay pallet Naked 3. I was never a naked girl before this one came out. I don't know the colors never did it for me. But when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. I mean it's stunning! Not a color in there that doesn't work with my green eyes. I'm a huge fan of urban decay and this did not disappoint.
This picture does not do this any justice. The pinks and corals in this palet are to die for. Seriously just beautiful colors. I bought at sephora.
*7th-blend it
I love my blender. And it's easy to clean. And it's was only 5 bucks at ulta so I usually buy a new one every month and throw the old one out.
I live, breath, love mascara!! Even if I don't do full face I NEVER leave out mascara. I always use the blackest!!!!! I like my eyelashes dark!!! Revlon lash potion and benefit "they're real". Revlon bought at Walgreens and Benefit I got at sephora as a sample. It has lasted about 2 months because I just wanted to try it and now I'm a huge fan. Will buy when I run out.
I usually do one swipe of the they're real first then I put the lash potion on second for a real eye pop!!
End result!! Horrible lighting and and my phone don't mix, but you get the idea!
What are your beauty routines? What's your favorite makeup this month or in general?
Until we meet again- ASH
