Foundation review: Kat Von d lock it tattoo foundation

So as I have mentioned before I was a tan-a-Holic starting about when I was 16. I would hit up the tanning bed EVERYDAY... No seriously everyday and sometimes even twice a day. I know I know dangerous and just plan stupid. I continued my love for the tanning bed up until I got pregnant when I was 25 yep 25!! I was warned countless number of times of the dangers of tanning and I ignored them all. See I even worked in tanning salons for years, it was something I loved and could see to satan if I needed to lol.
But.....
After I had Jack I didn't have time to go anymore so the years of tan fell off of my beautiful olive skin and left it's ugly mark all over my face!

Sunspots!!!!
I couldn't believe it! My family had worn me how it would mess with my face but I just ignored them to this day I wish I hadn't. So it's something I have always been self conceous about. So I started wearing foundation. Something I sadly never had to do before.

I've tried maybelline BB, benefits, and smashbox nothing seemed to cover my face like I was wanting.

So I took myself down to sephora and sought out help lol.

Not only is my face covered with sunspots but by noon it also becomes an oil slick!!! So I needed something to help with both coverage and oil control.
That's when the lady introduce me to
Kat Von d lock it tattoo foundation.

I had done my reviews before I had got to sephora so I knew a little about the foundation before hand. But when she first went to put it on im not gonna lie it scared me. It was so thick!! But once she  put it on I was sold!

         My face before foundation.

See how thick it is? A little goes a long way. And I do one side of my face then the other. Helps with blending in my opinion.

Elf foundation brush. It was a dollar  and it works like a charm. I love elf. Bought at target.

Blending sponge because like I said it is a bit thick lol but this helps even it out. Bought at ulta.

     And face afterwards

Please excuse the cross eyed dumb look lol I'm not good at selfies. But this picture shows the awesome coverage.
It has covered all my imperfections. It's a matte foundation so I feel it has also worked keeping my oil skin under control lol. And it last all day without having to be touched up. And it hasn't left my face cakey or even feel to heavy for how thick it is. My only draw back is you have to make sure it is completely blended.

I would recommend this product to anyone wanting good coverage.

But if your looking for just a normal foundation with just a little coverage, I might go another route.

Until we meet again- ASH
